Over 30 people killed in suicide attack in Northern Nigeria

More than 30 people have been killed in a suicide attack at a market in Yola a northern Nigerian city, officials say.

The blast occurred at a busy market where traders were closing up on Tuesday. This happened after President Buhari visited Yola on Saturday, declaring that the Islamist militant movement Boko Haram was close to being defeated.

This is the second time Yola has been hit by deadly bomb attacks this year. The city lies in the north-eastern state of Adamawa, one of the worst hit by Boko Haram.
