Video: Will Smith's 'Nigerian' accent in new flick Concussion has got Nigerians up in arms

Will Smith is playing a character role in his new movie “Concussion” a sports drama based on the story of Nigerian Dr Bennet Omalu (Will Smith) who after studying the brains of ex-pros such as Dave Duerson and Andre Waters discovers that they were suffering from chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), a neuro-degenerative disease caused by repeated trauma to the head.

Despite the riveting story behind this movie, what Nigerians are complaining about is Will Smiths's 'Nigerian Accent'. Do I think he nailed? No. But Hey, do you expect a man who has lived in the states for years to still have that thick accent? People please just focus on the story. See the trailer after the cut...
