Kentucky clerk who refused to Issue same sex marriage licenses is jailed


Defiant Kentucky clerk who refused to issue marriage licenses to gay couples because of her Christian faith has been ordered to jail.. U.S. District Judge David Bunning told Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis she would be kept in jail until she agrees with his order to issue the licenses.

Davis was she was led out of the courtroom by a U.S. marshal without handcuffs and said “thank you" as she left.
